Special Need Tutor

Anam Tutors offers experienced tutors who specialize in teaching pupils with dyslexia, ADHD, dyspraxia and other learning difficulties.

Our special need tutors are specialized to tutor at different levels from primary and secondary tutoring to adult education. Our tutors provide tailored tuition to suit the students' individual needs. Our Special need tutors develop a tailored programme of tuition for each student which starts by completing an Individual Tuition Plan (ITP) with the student during the first tutoring session to determine what specific areas need to be covered and to define the tuition goals and objectives.

All of Anam Tutors' special need tutors are required to have relevant teaching or tutoring experience. All of our private tutors are qualified & experienced tutors with high class degrees. All must have up to date knowledge of the various teachings styles involved with special students, and many hold specific Special educator’s qualifications.

Special need tutors typically do the following:

• Assess students' skills to determine their needs
• Adapt general lessons to meet the needs of students
• Develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for each student.
• Plan, organize, and assign activities that are specific to each student's abilities
• Teach and mentor students as a class, in small groups, and one-on-one.
• Implement IEPs, assess students' performance, and track their progress.
• Update IEPs throughout the school year to reflect students' progress and goals.
• Discuss students' progress with parents, other teachers, counselors, and administrators.
• Supervise and mentor teacher assistants who work with students with disabilities.
• Prepare and help students transition from grade to grade and for life after graduation.
